The article discusses the determination of rheological and deformation characteristics of dispersed materials, specifically sand-clay molding mixtures. The authors present the design of a triaxial compression apparatus developed on the basis of a standard stabilometer, incorporating the principles of similarity theory. The study reveals that the presence of residual plastic deformations causes nonlinearity in the material layer formation process. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the deformation modulus and its dependence on medium density, particle diameter and the internal friction coefficient. The results obtained allow for a more accurate prediction of the behavior of cohesive and non-cohesive bulk media under load, which is essential for optimizing technological processes in foundry production and related industries.
